Institute of Geology an Geophysics Chinese Academy of Sciences

The Institute of Geology and Geophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was integrated by the Institute of Geology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Geophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in June 1999. In 2004, the Ionospheric Research Office of Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was adjusted to the Institute as a whole. The integrated Institute of Geology and Geophysics is currently one of the most important and well-known geological research institutions in China.

In May 2023, the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Hunan Jupiter Mining Technology Co., Ltd. reached a cooperation agreement on the test flotation column, and will select the test flotation column (experimental flotation column) JSYF-60 of Jumu Mining for scientific research.
