A copper molybdenum mine in Hebei Province

The main useful elements of the ore body are copper and molybdenum. Copper ore is mainly chalcopyrite, and gangue contains about 20% copper oxide, chlorite and talc. This part of copper oxide and gangue are easy to be slimed in the process of crushing and grinding, which seriously interferes with the flotation process. Due to the interference of slime, reagents can't make functions on the target mineral, resulting in highreagent dosage and flotation indices, and finally ruins production. In order to solve this problem, it is necessary to depress slime in the roughing process, so measures of adopting suitable beneficiation process and flotation reagents becomes more and more important.

We adjusted the flotation process to reduce the size of the first stage of grinding. In the first rougher, we added the mud inhibitor JRD-2 and frother JRF-25, which effectively inhibited the slime. Finally, the concentrate grade was increased by 8%, the recovery rate was increased by 18%, then excellent economic benefits were achieved.
